PHILIPPINE LANGUAGES

  1. Tagalog: The national language of the Philippines, spoken by millions across the country.

  2. Cebuano: Widely spoken in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, and one of the most widely understood languages in the Philippines.

  3. Ilocano: Spoken in the Ilocos region and parts of Northern Luzon, known for its rich literature and cultural heritage.

  4. Hiligaynon: Predominantly spoken in Western Visayas, particularly in Iloilo and Bacolod.

  5. Bicolano: Native to the Bicol Region, known for its beautiful landscapes and vibrant culture.

OTHER ASIAN LANGUAGES

  1. Traditional or Simplified Chinese: the most widely spoken language in the world, with over a billion native speakers. It is the official language of China, Taiwan, and Singapore. 

  2. Japanese: the official language of Japan, spoken by approximately 130 million people. It is renowned for its intricate writing system, consisting of a combination of kanji (Chinese characters) and two syllabic scripts, hiragana and katakana.

  3. Korean: the official language of both North Korea and South Korea, with around 78 million speakers worldwide. 

  4. Thai: the national and official language of Thailand, spoken by around 60 million people. It is a tonal language with its own unique script. 

  5. Vietnamese: the official language of Vietnam and is spoken by approximately 90 million people. It is a tonal language with a Latin-based script, heavily influenced by Chinese characters. 

  6. Indonesian: also known as Bahasa Indonesia. It is the official language of Indonesia, the world's fourth-most populous country.

  4. Italian: the official language of Italy, San Marino, and Vatican City. With its musicality and expressive nature, Italian is celebrated for its contributions to art, opera, and gastronomy. 

  5. Portuguese: the official language of Portugal, Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, and several other countries. It is one of the most widely spoken languages globally, with over 260 million speakers. 

  6. Russian: the largest native language in Europe and one of the official languages of the United Nations.
